The Dragons have opened the year with 3 wins against only 1 loss in the initial weeks of the season.  Things started with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Northville, the game’s only goal coming with under a minute left to play.  The conference season kicked off a few days later with a 3-2 win over Troy.  The back and forth game was also decided late, with the tie-breaking goal coming with 1:22 left in the 3rd period.

Although the next game was a 0-4 loss to Alpena, the Dragons bounced back with a strong performance against league opponent Berkley.  Down 0-2 in the second period, the team fought hard to get back in the game, scoring 5 unanswered goals, including varsity firsts for Andy Potyk and Brendan Gurski for a convincing 5-2 victory.

The next week brings highly ranked Howell (Division 2 #8 pre-season) to town on November 29th, then the Dragons travel to Jackson on December 1stto play Jackson United.  Conference play picks up again on December 6th with a home game against Birmingham Unified.

Keep up the hard work boys, and let’s go Dragons!
