Former Dragon Hockey Player In NCAA Hockey Tournament

Former Lake Orion High School hockey player, Adam Chapie, and his Umass-Lowell team enter the NCAA tournament this weekend.

Prior to Adam getting a NCAA Division I scholarship to Umass-Lowell he played for Lake Orion and then Junior "A" in the NAHL. 

Umass-Loweel will take on Yale in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 7:30pm. The winner of that game will take on the winner of Quinnipiac and RIT for the right to play in the NCAA Frozen Four.

Dragon Head Coach Nick Field's former team, Ferris State, also will be playing in the NCAA Tournament this weekend.

Coach Field played for Ferris State from 1999-2003 and was a member of the 2003 CCHA Champion team.

Ferris will take on St. Cloud State on Saturday at 3pm. The winner of that game will play the winner of Boston University and Denver for the right to play in the NCAA Frozen Four.
