Dragons Take Two Out of Three

The Lake Orion hockey team had their first and only three game week this past weekend.The Dragons played three games in three nights in which two were on the road vs teams from the west side of the state.

The Dragons opened the week with a good 4-2 victory over OAA Red opponent Farmington. The win keeps Lake Orion on pace with the conference leaders with a 3-0 conference record.

On Friday the Dragons traveled to Grand Rapids Catholic Central. Lake Orion fell in a close game by the score of 2-1. All three goals in the game came on the powerplay. GRCC clinched the game winner with about six minutes to go in the third period and were able to hang on as LO put lots of pressure on late in the game.

Saturday the Dragons took on Big Rapids and came away with an impressive 5-2 victory.

Lake Orion is now 12-2 and has two more games this week. The Dragons take on OAA Red opponent Farmington United Wednesday night and then are back home on Thursday night vs St. Clair Shores Unified.
